Lighting- natural light as well as the various ways of artificial lighting-, the myriads of hues, shades, nuances of colour and the tactile quality of textures all come together to create your one-of-a-kind home.
We are fascinated by the vast range of decorative arts, traditions and philosophies from cultures around the world,and at the same time our design concepts are being balanced by a very analytical mind, minimalist training and inclination to linear thinking.
Born in Germany, principal Ines Hanl came to Victoria, Canada in 1998 together with her husband Klaus Kinast.
Her background includes a formal 4 year education with a Masters degree in Interior Architecture from a German university, as well as an apprenticeship in dressmaking and subsequently 6 years of design work for theaters.
Together with her spouse Klaus, who is an acclaimed designer, visual artist, illustrator and sculptor they created magical interiors, window displays and 3 dimensional panoramas for theme stores in Europe.
Her solid training combined with her interest in the various aspects of sculpting, architecture, woodworking, fiber art and painting result in highly personalized interiors.
At The Sky is the Limit Interior Design Concepts we conceptualize designs for all aspects of commercial and private interiors. Renovations, kitchen and bath room remodels, custom cabinetry, colour consultations, presentation boards and soft furnishings are all aspects of our private services. For the commercial sector we are able to create Theme Environments as well as animated panoramas and exhibit concepts for Museums and Theme and amusement parks. We also employ our skills in illustration, sculpture, faux finish and fine art painting to create one-of-a-kind surroundings. Architectural elements like custom sculpted fireplaces and statuary is available upon request.
